Tommy Puett

Tommy Puett

I don’t know if I’ll have enough info to make this long enough for one of my regular blogs, but I wanted to write a bit about Tommy Puett. He was a teen idol in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He didn’t do much for me but he did look pretty nice with his shirt off. Tommy was an actor turned singer like many teens of that era. Maybe it was the other way around. I don’t know. Oh, yeah. He rocked that mullet.

Tommy Puett was born as Ralph Thomas Puett III on January 12, 1971 in Gary, Indiana. (Birthplace of the great Jackson Five!) Tommy is probably best known as Tyler Benchfield on Life Goes On. I called it the Corky show. I think he played like the high school jock and heartthrob on that show. His character was killed off after the second season in a car accident. Oops. I guess he could have always come back as a ghost. They always do that in my soap opera.

Tommy made at least one album that I know of. It was called Life Goes On and I think it was pretty bad. I’ve seen the video of his song Heart Attack. It looks like a combination of an exercise video and gay porn. He looks good in it, but it’s just silly.

Sports Life

His acting career spanned less than ten years and his music career, well……..let’s just say it’s good he moved on to other things. Tommy ran a baseball cap company called LilBrims after leaving Hollywood and is now involved with the sporting goods industry. He runs a business called Ultra Sport Products which I think is mainly based in Europe.

I didn’t think Tommy Puett would age gracefully. There are people who I think are always going to be handsome no matter what their age.John Schneider, Rob Lowe, and Brad Pitt come to mind. I didn’t think Tommy would be one of those, but I saw a recent picture of him. You know what?  I think he looks better now. I wonder if he still looks hot with his shirt off.

Cry Baby

A fellow blogger talked about how Tommy Puett demanded he remove a derogatory comment made about him from his blog. Really? Tommy wrote the blogger and said he was sitting there with his in-house lawyer. Well, big dick. He demanded the comment be removed and then told him why it was false. Then he threatened legal action if it wasn’t removed. Way to show your insecurity there, Big T. (BTW, my in-house boyfriend is also a lawyer.)

My ex-husband used to work for teen idol Paul Anka who is now pushing 100 (and probably a walker). When Lebanezer Scrooge fired my husband, a picture of him appeared on my husband’s website. (If I recall, someone had photoshopped devil horns on top of Paul’s bald head.) Paul threatened all kinds of legal action. We asked our friend the lawyer about this and he basically said Paul didn’t have a leg to stand on. I know he’s insecure about his height and the fact that he can’t sing anymore, but way to look completely pathetic. Tommy, just be happy people are thinking about you. I’d be more than happy to edit any incorrect info, but I’m entitled to my opinion. Quit being a little cry baby.
