Eric Clapton Hit Parader pinup

This Eric Clapton Hit Parader pinup from Hit Parader magazine is one page only and in excellent condition.

Eric Patrick Clapton, born in England on March 30, 1945, is a singer and songwriter. His mom was only 16 when she gave birth to Eric. Clapton hadn’t even been born yet when his dad was shipped off to war.  Eric grew up believing that his grandma and her husband were his parents. He thought his mom was his older sister.

He is the only three time inductee to the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame. Inducted as a member of both the groups Cream and the Yardbirds, and then also inducted as a solo artist.

Clapton ranked second in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. Jimi Hendrix came in first. Rounding out the top five are Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, and Jeff Beck. Not a bad group to be part of.

Back Side

Part of an interview with Blue Oyster Cult is the back. It is continued from another page and continues after this page, so this was quite a lengthy interview.  There’s also a small black and white picture of Eric Bloom, Donald Rouser, Albert Bouchard, Allen Lanier, and Joe Bouchard.

Some of the questions asked by Hit Paraders:

  • You’re done big outdoor dates, haven’t you?
  • Do you like being on the road?
  • Well, your fans are very special, aren’t they, I mean you really do have quite a special relationship.
