Greg Evigan
Greg Evigan is a talented guy. He sings, plays a lot of instruments, and acts. I’m sure he does other things as well. He has been on a whole buttload of movies and TV shows. And at almost 65 years of age, he’s still pretty hot.
Gregory Ralph Evigan was born on October 14, 1953 in New Jersey. Ralph is a funny name. Read my Ralph Macchio blog to see what I’m immaturely talking about. It has to do with wieners.
Greg Evigan got his first job as a singer in the original Broadway production of Jesus Christ Superstar at age 17. Two years later, he was still on Broadway but this time as Danny Zuko in Grease. Go greased lightnin’, you’re burnin’ up the quarter mile. Greased lightnin’, go greased lightnin’.
Teen Idol
Evigan hit it big and became a teen idol when he appeared in a silly show called BJ and the Bear in the late 70’s. He would often show up shirtless in Tiger Beat, Teen Beat, 16, and other teen type magazines. I remember him participating in one of those Battle of the Network Stars shows. The Speedos he wore on that show were just wrong. They were so tiny. I think they belonged to Webster or Gary Coleman.
When I was a kid, I was on the tram thing that takes groups through Universal Studios and I got to see Greg Evigan. He was standing there and waved at all of us. Tingly moment.
I don’t know that I really ever watched BJ and the Bear. I know I liked truckers at that time because my Uncle Glenn was a trucker AND I had seen Smokey and the Bandit like a billion times. I’m not sure why I didn’t watch the BJ show. Why was there a monkey?
My Two Dads
I do remember watching Greg Evigan in My Two Dads. I liked that show. Two straight guys lived together and raised this girl. Either guy could have been the father but they never wanted to find out. They just raised the girl as their own. That’s kind of cool. Maybe mom was a slut and neither guy was the father. Did they ever think about that? I should have written that episode for the show.
My Two Dads had much better co-stars than a pooping monkey. In addition to Evigan, there was Paul Reiser, Staci Keanan, Giovanni Ribisi (Phoebe’s brother on Friends), and Chad Allen.
