Justin Bieber Old/New

This Justin Bieber Old/New blog is one that’s never been published but was written about ten years ago. Since it was never published to my site, I thought I would do that today. This is a new post in that it’s never been posted but it’s old since I wrote it years ago. A ton has happened since I wrote this post. I will do a more updated Bieber blog at some point, but I thought this was interesting to read as is. Check it out.

In case you haven’t heard, Justin Bieber is the newest hot teen idol. It’s hard to miss his cute little face as he is plastered everywhere. He really is cute and quite talented. He has an old soul. I saw Justin on Ellen (I LOVE HER!) and he seems like a very grounded young man. I hope he stays that way. The boy is definitely talented and should go far. Let me tell you his story.

Biebs Beginnings

Justin Drew Bieber was born on March 1, 1994 in Stratford, Ontario (Canada). March 1, 1994? God, I feel old. I have shoes older than Justin Bieber. Seriously. Justin is an only child and was raised by his single mom, Pattie Malette. He liked singing around the house and decided to enter Stratford Idol when he was 12. He ended up taking second place which was really good considering he was competing against older people who had been taking singing lessons.

In a way for his friends and family to see his Idol performance, Justin started posting clips on YouTube. Millions of people saw the videos, including Scooter Braun who flew Justin to Atlanta to have him meet with Usher. Not only was Usher interested in Justin Bieber, but so was Justin Timberlake. God, I’d love to have those two men fighting over me. Justin ended up signing with Usher and Island Records. He and mom packed up their bags and moved to Atlanta.

Justin released his debut album “My World” on November 17, 2009. The album has done very well and it didn’t take long for it to be certified platinum. Justin had four successful singles chart even before the album came out. This makes him the only artist in Billboard history to have four singles from a debut album chart before the album came out. He’s already making records. Well, not those kind of records. You know what I mean.

What’s up with his hair? I guess that’s how kids these days are wearing it, but it drives me crazy. He has very pretty hair but it seems as if he wants to comb it down onto his face. Kinda reminds me of the teenage werewolf.

• Likes the TV show Smallville. So does my husband. [UPDATE: I have been divorced since 2014.]
• His mom travels with him all the time.
• Justin tries to update his Twitter page daily.
• He recorded “We Are the World” for Haiti and got to sing the opening verse which was previously sung by Lionel Richie.
• The Biebs likes to play hockey and basketball.
• He likes to play video games.
• Has one day a week where he just relaxes. That sounds nice.
• Tries to maintain a 4.0 GPA.
• Taught himself to play the piano, guitar, drums, and trumpet.

 

Justin Bieber is definitely talented. He plans to go to college so I’m not sure how long this singing career will last. Maybe he can do both. I hope he doesn’t give up his dreams of college since odds are the singing thing will at some point go away. I wish him luck with his future. Go Justin!

Wasn’t it interesting to read my Justin Bieber Old/New blog? I thought so anyway. My former student, Sabrina, who just graduated from high school has loved Justin Bieber from the beginning. I remember her loving The Biebs back in 5th grade and I know she still loves him just as much today. Her love has not once wavered and she is a true fan. I know a ton of other Bieber fans too. Maybe they can help me write the next and more updated Bieber blog.
