What 90210 fan doesn’t remember that chant led by Brandon Walsh? Beverly Hills, 90210 aired on October 4, 1990 and stayed on the air for ten wonderful years. The show started out focusing on twins Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Brandon (Jason Priestley) and various issues, but gradually turned into a yummy teenage soap opera.

My favorite episodes usually involved Donna Martin. I thought Tori Spelling was a great actress and very funny. Some of my favorite shows off the top of my head were when Donna gets drunk, when Donna almost gets raped and calls David “Dave”, when Donna was trying to get around Europe, when Donna and David get married, when Dylan’s wife was gunned down (Luke Perry showed off his acting chops in that one), any episode with Emily Valentine (she was crazy!), and so many others. I still enjoy watching Beverly Hills 90210 reruns on the weekend. It’s one of my guilty pleasures. 🙂

• The role of Dylan, played by Luke Perry, was only supposed to be in one or two episodes.
• Luke Perry originally auditioned for the role of Steve Sanders. That role went to Ian Ziering.
• Jennie Garth had to audition five times for her role of Kelly Taylor and was the first to be cast.
• Tori Spelling auditioned for the show under the name of Tori Mitchell so as to hide her ties to papa Aaron. FYI, she auditioned for the role of Kelly Taylor.
• The role of Valerie Malone went to Tiffani Amber Thiessen after Alicia Silverstone turned it down.
• West Beverly doesn’t exist. Beverly Hills High School wouldn’t allow the use of their name in the series.
• Brandon Walsh is the name of the oldest boy in the 1985 movie The Goonies.
• Brandon’s car Mondale is a 1978 Mercury Cougar.
• Brian Austin Green was the youngest regular cast member.
• Gabrielle Carteris was the oldest regular cast member out of the students. She was a 30 year old high school student.

I’ve been watching 90210 for over 25 years now and have yet to tire of it. While I don’t have all of the shows memorized, it is kind of like an adult Brady Bunch for me. I’ll continue to watch my 90210. Thanks for reading. See you soon!
