FAKE NEWS!

FAKE NEWS!

There are some rumors out there, fake news if you will, that I have retired.  WRONG!  I’m coming back bigger and better than ever before, baby!  I just ordered some new business cards that advertise “50,000+ TEEN PINUPS & MAGAZINES!”  The 50,000 isn’t quite what I have listed at the moment.  It’s more of a visualization.  I do have 50,000+ items sitting in my house right now.  I just need to get them up for sale.

Anyway, I may have started those retirement rumors myself with my last newsletter:

ZTAMS Closing!

”What was meant to just be a little side job grew into something that has overwhelmed me, my house, and my marriage.  Throw in some website server problems here and there (a lot lately), and I’ve decided that I’m done.  Unless I live well into my 100’s, I am in the second half of my life.  I want to enjoy my life and while ZTAMS was fun for me, I need to move on.”

Now I suppose one could surmise from that paragraph that I was retiring.  I AM done with the stand-alone selling website.  That wasn’t a lie.  All of my selling is now in my eBay store.  While I was originally going to sell my pinups there super cheap and in huge lots just to be rid of them, I realized I kind of like what I’m doing.  Settling in has been quite nice and I have been VERY happy on eBay this last month.   I don’t need to worry about server issues, internet taxes, being hacked, or anything else that was weighing on me with the stand-alone site.

eBay

I also wrote this in my last newsletter:

“There will never be a time where I have all 30,000 items listed at once like I do on ZTAMS.  Unless eBay provides free listings, the most I’ll ever have posted at once is 2,000 items.”

Sorry, that turned out to be a bit of a lie.  I did say “unless eBay provides free listings” which they are doing right now.

I was originally going to sign up for eBay’s store which gives you 1,000 listings each month.  My plan was to just rotate a different 1,000 pinups each month.  eBay has something new called Managed Payments and once you’re placed in that program, you get a butt ton of free listings.  With my current subscription, I get 10,000 free listings.  Once I get enough items ready, I’ll switch to their next level subscription which gives me 50,000 free listings.  If I’m able to continue at my current pace, I should hit the 50,000 items listed in about four years.  Who wants to hang out with me and see if I reach that goal? 🙂

Costco

Have you ever tried something new from Costco, loved it, but then couldn’t find it again the next time you were there?  I hate that.  Costco seems to always change.  eBay is like that too.  While I have this 50,000 item goal in mind, if eBay should change its structure and they charge to list those 50,000 items, my goals will change at that point.  I’ll keep you posted though.  I currently have almost 6,000 items listed.

Please keep checking back here for my normal (abnormal) blogs about celebrities and Brady Bunch/Partridge Family reviews and all that.  I may update once in a while with a blog like this and push my eBay store, but….

You know where to find me.
