Joan Jett – The Runaways

Joan Jett – The Runaways

Joan Jett rose to fame as a member of the 1970s all-girl rock band The Runaways, remembered in the 2010 movie with Dakota Fanning. Jett’s cover of I Love Rock and Roll was a number one hit in 1982 and Crimson and Clover was another memorable hit for her. Jett has also appeared as Columbia in the Broadway production of “The Rocky Horror Show”.

Joan Jett Runaways Reunions

There have been several attempts to reunite Joan’s 1970s band, The Runaways, but all have failed. Jett has stated that they always fall apart because former band-mate, Lita Ford, walks out on the rehearsals. This seems strange since Ford is usually the one trying to get the reunions to happen. Who knows?
