Matthew Lawrence

Matthew Lawrence

I first heard of Matthew Lawrence when I saw Mrs. Doubtfire. He played Robin Williams’ son in the movie and did a wonderful job. There are two other Lawrence brothers (Joey and Andy), but I think Matt looks the best and is probably the nicest guy. I don’t know any of them but I’ve seen Joey interviewed quite a few times. I stand by my opinion that Matt is the best.

Matthew William Lawrence was born on February 11, 1980 in Pennsylvania. While Mrs. Doubtfire was one of his first roles, he actually had an earlier gig. He played Danny Carrington in Dynasty in the mid 80’s. Mrs. Doubtfire was in 1993 which was when Matt started appearing in the teen magazines. He is the Jan Brady of the family in that he’s the middle child. Brother Joey is older and brother Andrew is younger. Other than Mrs. Doubtfire, Matt is probably best known for his roles in Brotherly Love and Boy Meets World. I liked both of those shows.

Music

Matt started singing in 1986 with his brother Joey when they sang at the Macy’s Day Parade. I’ll bet that was cute. He also sang on the show Gimme a Break where he played the younger brother of his real life brother (Joey). Matt has sung on other shows as well. He and his brothers formed a band called Hanson Jonas Brothers Still Three in 2017. They released their debut single called Lose Myself which sounds pretty good to me.

Matt attended USC and studied biology. I don’t think he graduated but I think it says a lot that he attended college at all. I think most people in the business only focus on their next gig and are not necessarily concerned about getting an education.

Matt dated and was engaged at one point to actress Heidi Mueller. Not sure what happened there but he is now engaged to Cheryl Burke. They first met in 2006 when brother Joey was on Dancing with the Stars. Matt and Cheryl dated for a year or so but then broke up. They got back together many years later and are now engaged. Yay! I love happy endings.

Matt seems like a talented and very normal guy. I just get the vibe that he’s a really good guy. I hope he and Cheryl live happily ever after.
