Dancing with the Stars Part III

Dancing with the Stars Part III

Welcome to my Dancing with the Stars Part III blog. This should be my final entry in this series, at least for now. I wrote about the first three seasons here and then seasons four through eight here. Check them out if you’re interested. Today’s blog will begin with season 9.

Season 9

I enjoyed season 9 back in 2009.  I can’t believe that was ten years ago already. Did the big vain in the middle of Aaron Carter’s head bother anyone else? I kept thinking it was going to pop. Gross. He reminded me of a chicken when the judges were telling him what to work on. Why was Ashley Hamilton on this show if his back was like held together with screws and nails and duct tape? Macy Gray cracked me up. Once again, I didn’t know a lot of people but Mark Dacascos impressed me. I guess he’s a chef or something. Other stars on this season were Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina The Teenage Witch), Kelly Osbourne, and former teen idol Donny Osmond. I really liked Kelly but was rooting for Donny to win the whole thing. Kelly ended up finishing third and Donny won the show. Yay.

NOTE: If I watched season 10 I don’t remember…..

Season 11

I had to watch season 11 because Mrs. Brady was on the show. Florence Henderson was 76 when she competed on this show and she looked wonderful. David Hasselhoff was voted off first. For the life of me, I can’t remember him dancing. I do remember Michael Bolton though (he was voted off second). I don’t understand how someone can write such beautiful music but not have an ounce of rhythm in their body. Makes no sense to me. Rick Fox was also on this season. He was very yummy but then he took his shirt off for a dance and his boobs shook a lot. I didn’t watch the last several weeks of this season because I got tired of seeing Jennifer Grey cry. She won the show.  I’m sure that made her cry.

Season 12

I tuned in to watch this season because it had Ralph Macchio. He has never seemed coordinated to me so I wanted to see if he could dance. He finished 4th. Kirstie Alley finished in second. I didn’t know much about her before the show but really like her now. She struggles with weight just like I do. Hines Ward from the Pittsburgh Steelers won the show. I do not like the Steelers since I am a huge Raiders fan, but Hines won my heart. I was happy with his win.

Season 19

The only other season I watched was season 19 and this was because of Alfonso Ribeiro. I knew a Carlton dance was coming when I saw he was part of the show. I had to wait until week four when he and his dance partner danced to Tom Jones’ It’s Not Unusual. Alfonso was older than most of the contestants and hurt (he actually hurt himself doing The Carlton), but he ended up winning this season. Yay!

NOTE: I wrote the following wish list when I wrote this blog originally in 2009.

Stars I’d like to see on the show in the future:

Thank you for reading Dancing with the Stars Part III. I may have to find time to watch a season or two in the upcoming years. What celebrity would you like to see on Dancing with the Stars?
